Save a little of your leftover coffee in the morning and then store in the fridge until you are ready to make this yummy drink. The original recipe called for Amaretto. I didn’t have any in the house, so I just threw a banana in instead, and let me tell you: that was the best call. Not only did it make me feel like I was adding some healthy goodness to my drink, but the banana and the coffee were a great combination. I will be making this again soon!
1 small banana
2 tablespoons of whipping cream
2 ounces cold black coffee or a shot of espresso
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 cup of ice
2 ounces of white rum
grated bittersweet chocolate
Throw everything, but the chocolate, in the blender with about a cup of ice and blend until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and garnish with grated chocolate.
